The building was built on a challenging site; long, narrow and sloping, and enclosed on 3 sides by existing housing. 

The scheme was announced as the winner of the prestigious Northern Housing Awards Supported/ Sheltered Housing Scheme of the Year 2021, as well as being shortlisted for the Inside Housing Development Awards 2021 - Best Older people's Housing Development.
